The Alesis Harmony 61 keyboard has 61 velocity-sensitive keys with adjustable touch response and built-in speakers and more than 300 realistic sounds. These cover instruments from standard pianos to strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, mallets, guitars—even synths and sound effects!
You can use multiple sounds together in “Layer” mode, or have two sounds across the keyboard in “Split” mode.
The keyboard has 100 built-in songs with tools to make it easy to learn the basics of rhythm and melody, or shake the rust off if it’s been awhile. Harmony 61 is also compatible with Skoove, an online piano-instruction service. Skoove listens to your performance to give real-time feedback, with adjustable tempo settings to match your skill level. In addition to compatibility with the standard Skoove, Harmony 61 comes with a free three-month subscription to Skoove Premium to unlock all of the online service’s lessons and songs.
Harmony 61 has a backlit LED screen built-in with a grand staff to display the current notes being played. The complete chord dictionary works as a point of reference for students learning to read sheet music and also saves time for experienced composers to help quickly figure out their chords.
Once you’re a virtuoso, 100 built-in accompaniment rhythms enable you to create your own songs and the “Record” mode lets you save them.
Finally, you can play along with any of your favorite songs by connecting your tablet or mobile device to the 1/8” auxiliary input, and then plug your headphones into the 1/4” jack to mute the speakers and keep jamming long into the night.
